While nitwits still bitch about how President Bush has eroded civil rights, Clinton Media Facists set new records in actually silencing critics:

Randi Rhodes, an afternoon host for the progressive Air America radio network, was suspended Thursday after repeatedly insulting Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton at an event last month.Ms. Rhodes used vulgar language that likened Mrs. Clinton to a prostitute at an event sponsored by KKGN, the Air America affiliate in the San Francisco area, on March 22. A video of Ms. Rhodes� remarks was published to the video-sharing Web site YouTube on Tuesday, prompting condemnations by some bloggers.

In a statement, Charlie Kireker, the chair of Air America, said the radio network �encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our hosts.�

However repugnant Rhodes’ comments were, why the sudden interest in her attacks on Clinton? Listening occasionally to Rhodes over the years, I’ve heard her seethe how sinister conservatives like Tom Delay and Dick Cheney could theoretically vanquish their enemies without anything resembling a fair fight. And I’ve heard her deliver “abusive, ad hominem attacks” against President Bush, usually including some kind of color commentary that either correlated his intellect with the distance between his eyes or pointed out his supposed simian resemblances.

She wasn’t suspended then, so why now?

I have to go on the road for a couple of days, but here’s a goody to chew on:

Election 2004 - The nation is at war. The “right kind” of military experience is needed in order to lead the nation through this troubling time. We don’t need a President “renting a flight suit” just to dress up in military attire (even though said President was actually a former military pilot). . . . The Democratic candidate must have some military experience.

Election 2008 - The nation is at war.� Military experience just isn’t that important in a candidate.� Hell, even John McCain doesn’t have the right kind of military experience to be President.

Hoping to appeal to progressives, liberals, socialists, and whole-grained fascists across America, Hillary Clinton suggests that she would be open to the idea of garnishing the wages of American workers who refuse to buy mandated health insurance

The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC’s “This Week,” she said: “I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”

Clinton said such measures would apply only to workers who can afford health coverage but refuse to buy it, which puts undue pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms. With her proposals for subsidies, she said, “it will be affordable for everyone.”

This is beyond insane.� Have at it, you Marxist ass-hats.

. . .which really is an immature reason to vote.� Do Americans really know anything about government and oversized bureaucracy?

Do Americans honestly believe that the Obama� brand will impart real change in Washington when the apparatus controlling his every appearance and scripting his every word already controls most of the (supposedly) despised Washington establishment?� Whether it’s Obama, Clinton, or even McCain, it’s� “Honey, which color scarf should our little Establishment wear today?”

So yeah, let’s vote for “Change”.
