The Republican Party scrambles to get out the message: Bob Ney does not represent the Republican Party…
Really???? He doesn’t???
He rather strikes me as the Republican archetype these days.

Ney does intend to resign, just not immediately. (?)
He is pushing his luck, kinda like Jim Traficant a few years back. If you’ve been convicted on corruption charges, you have to go.
