Damn the mainstream media! They only want to talk about the bad things happening in Iraq? Just look at what the Iraqis are saying.

I think I read this same article three years ago when the Americans stood by while the museums of Baghdad were looted at the onset of the war. Of course, the names and body counts have been updated.
Oh yeah, forgot to post this. .
From the article you posted:
“The Sunni Arab leaders say they have no newfound love for the Americans. Many say they still sympathize with the insurgency and despise the Bush administration and the fact that the invasion has helped strengthen the power of neighboring Iran, which backs the ruling Shiite parties.
But the Sunni leaders have dropped demands for a quick withdrawal of American troops. Many now ask for little more than a timetable.”
It’s no surprise that the Sunnis would like to see US soldiers blown up and gunned down instead of their own people. And by Republican standards (see “timetable”) the Sunnis are asking the US to “cut and run.” But all of this is irrelevant and misses the point of the original post. Unless, of course, you consider this NY Times story good news?
Not following ya, chief.
Please try posting a link to some more propaganda, and see if I bite again.
I added a couple words to help you out. The point is that you are refuting bad news with more bad news.
Why should I bother when your “bite” and efforts thereafter are such a bore?
Sorry I made the mistake of going down a rathole with you, which is what you designed. If you will post something sensible and honest, I might play along.
It’s insensible to post an account of the situation in Iraq written by an Iraqi living in Iraq but it’s sensible to compare Iraqi anger over US soldier’s inaction during the looting of museums to Iraqi anger over the fact that the US military and the Iraq Ministry of Interior did nothing to stop Iraqi people from butchering each other?
It’s sensible for you to then post a link to a story that further underscores the decline of the situation in iraq?
As a Bush cheerleader and supporter of this war from day one I thought this post would give you an opportunity to spread a little sunshine on the shitstorm that is Iraq today? Convervatives decry the msm’s unwillingness to cover all the good things happening in Iraq so by all means please fill me in? … Of course you want to move on.
Right, sensible, not sensible, got it. That’s what happens when you mix Tylenol PM with Carlsbergs (you know what I’m talking about). Now what about the honest part? .
Why don’t you take a moment, start another thread, and give us a quick summary of your thoughts on the Iraq thing. . You know, why you think we are there, what’s the big picture, what should be done, yada yada. I am really wanting to know.
