Carbon Dioxide: “We Call It Life”
May 19, 2006
I haven’t been here in awhile but this is too good to pass up. It’s unbelievably sad that these ads will probably influence some people. So everyone in Dayton and Denver keep your eyes glued to the television to get an exclusive look at the “truth” (as brought to you by one of your friendly corporate-funded, non-partisan organizations who just wants you to have the real truth about the scientific issues. Now you can safely ignore the lies and deception propagated by all of those wacko, liberal scientists and academics who say such scary things).

They forgot to mention that CO2 is tasty, too!
These are some pretty creepy ads, and if their intent was to get people to stop and think about the barrage of ‘global warmist’ news, they most certainly could have done better. They almost come off as a spoof. . .
I lump these productions into the same category as the upcoming movie from Al (”he’s actually kinda funny on SNL”) Gore and the endless climate scare tripe coming from Newsweek, USA Today and Time.
I actually saw one of these commercials on TV over the weekend. You’re right about them seeming like a spoof. I think the organization probably realized that the more ridiculous and blatant the ads were, the more press and publicity they’d generate. I guess they were right about that, I bet hits on their website have gone through the roof…
I wonder if they really are a spoof.
I like the short footage of the lady blowing the fuzz off a dandelion. The producers thought it was good enough to use in BOTH of the clips.
